For me Beachbody was something I stumbled upon. It was not something I had planned on doing. It was not something I knew much about. BUT I had this feeling that it was something I was meant to do. ....So how did I become a coach, how did I know this was for me?

How this all started:

This year was the year of the unexpected. Not all good, not all bad. The year started off incredibly rough. I lost people I never expected to lose which really took a toll on my life. Then a month later, I found out I had a life threatening mass rapidly spreading in my jaw. Incredibly random, accidentally found by my surgeon while I was getting my wisdom teeth looked at. Just a few weeks later my lungs (which battle with me yearly and always will) started to suck and I became really sick. I couldn't workout; I couldn't do anything strenuous without collapsing. I finally broke. Could not handle it anymore. Life was hitting me from all angles and I shut down.

My first experience hearing about challenge groups:

I spent a few months wallowing...getting surgeries and recovering from everything. I became comfortable with being lazy, not caring what I was eating or doing. Then the doctor released me to start being active again.............yup didn't start up like I normally would. I would go to the gym, get bored and leave. THEN one day I was at Macy's and I saw myself in not one but THREE mirrors....it was awful. I could not believe I let myself go.

That same day on Facebook I saw my friend posting her results from a challenge group. I had to know what she was doing. She was always so positive and was being so successful. She told me about this challenge group she was doing. I had never done much with Beachbdy and was skeptical how a home workout could get me the results I got at the gym. At that point in my life, I figured worst case scenario I waste money-I could not be any lower. I signed up with The 21 Day Fix and my life CHANGED!!!

From challenger to active coach:

So I completed my first challenge group, it was a constant work in progress...then I completed my second group and really buckled down. I lost 10 pounds and 10 inches. I felt amazing, I felt confident and I started to be more positive. So a couple people came to me about being a coach. I declined at first. Then people were messaging me thanking me for my posts. I had no clue anyone was paying attention to me...I had no clue I had made a difference.

I decided wow if I could help someone with a single post what else could I do to help other people who were struggling like me???? I signed up! Best day ever. Never looked back since. I LOVE being a coach. I run the same groups I learned from and became so passionate about. I truly have found my love of fitness again. I have made major changes in my nutrition. I went from eating Lean Cuisine and candy every day to eating a balanced daily meal plan and I have never felt hungry or that I was missing out. I eat in moderation and enjoy eating.

I had no clue what I was doing....I had no idea what was going to happen but I knew this was meant for me. I thankfully am part of an amazing team that constantly helps me to better myself as a coach and understand how I can help anyone I meet. Being a coach provides me financial freedom to purchase things without worrying about my bank account. I no longer freak out when some new expense comes up. I have found true confidence in my life. I love my life. I love myself and do not care what anyone thinks.

What do I do as a coach?

I chat with people about health and fitness. I share my story and listen to other people's stories. I help people improve their health and their inner confidence in them. I give back to as many people as possible because I was blessed to have someone help me get started. I run challenge groups which are the bulk of what I do. These groups not only help others but they help me to stay accountable, continue to follow my meal plans and workout to my fullest.

Honestly, I love everything about Beachbody. They are real, they truly are trying to make true positive change. We are ending the trend for obesity and I am so thankful I am a part of such an amazing organization. I am not a sales person and I love that. Join me!!!
